Izod Impact Testing Machine serve for determining the impact strength of notched and unnotched metal bars of different sections and different lengths according to the charpy (Beam) method. The machine is meant for making charpy, Izod and tension impact tests. The Pendulum Impact Tester is designed conducting Charpy Izod and Impact Tension Test. The test methods conform to IS: 1757-1973 and IS :1499-1077 and IS: 1598-1977. The impact energy absorbed by the specimen during rupture is measured as the difference between the height of drop before rupture and the height of rise after rupture of the test specimen and is read on the dial scale.
